Appointments and Scheduling

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start your session on time.This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client forms (new clients), change and prepare for the service. All massages have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.
  • New Clients bring your completed Helpful Forms to your appointment if not submitted online.
  • A credit/debit card is required to reserve all appointments. Prepayment is required in order to book an appointment.  No shows and same day appointments cancelled will be charged in full for all services booked.  All prepayments are non-refundable!
  • Please call us at 704-618-1625 if you are running late. There is a 15 minute grace period after the start time of scheduled appointment. Any time exceeding 15 minutes your appointment will be canceled. Exceeding the 15 minute grace period without notification will be marked as a no show.  
  • Late arrivals your treatment time will be shortened by the duration of the late arrival time to avoid impacting the next guest. The original treatment time will be charged.
  • Appointments will not be held beyond 15 minutes of scheduled time.
  • We recommend booking in advance, especially for evenings.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • We offer the rescheduling of your 48 hours noticed canceled appointment 1 time within 14 calendar days from the original appointment date. No refunds for cancelled appointments.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows will result in the original treatment time being charged. No refunds for cancelled or no show appointments.
  • Life happens, just keep us in the loop. We are here to work with you, not against you.

Informed Consent:

Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit you will be asked to sign the informed consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. You will be given a copy of this signed form. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year will be asked to fill out this form.

Scope of Practice:

  • Massage therapists are licensed professionals and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association
  • Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may integrate additional therapies, with the intention of providing the client with an integrated holistic experience.

Massage Therapists DO NOT diagnose or prescribe for any medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without doctor’s supervision. The Massage Therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician.

Professional Boundaries

  • Tranquil Moments Massage Therapy is a professional therapeutic environment.
  • Any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session, and future services will be denied.
  • We uphold a space of trust, safety, and dignity for everyone.
  • Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the massage therapy policies and procedures. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
  • The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. The low back, hip and gluteal area will be massaged only with permission and can be worked through draping if requested.
  • Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the Massage Therapist is NEVER appropriate and will not be tolerated. The massage session will be terminated immediately. The client will not be rescheduled and appropriate disciplinary action will be implemented to the massage therapist after an investigation.
  • Services are not offered to minors under the age of 18. Minors between the ages of 6-18 must have parental consent (see Helpful Forms), a parent / legal guardian must complete and sign this form prior to any massage therapy services are rendered. A parent / legal guardian must be be present for the entire massage therapy session

Payments and Gratuities:

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Venmo, and Cash App.
  • Gratuity is appreciated but never expected; your presence is enough.

Your Comfort Matters

  • You are always in control of your session.
  • You may choose to leave on as much clothing as needed for your comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time and free to leave, the therapy door is never locked.
  • You are modestly draped, with only the area being massaged being undraped. You will be informed of the area being massaged.
  • You are encouraged to speak up if anything feels uncomfortable, whether it’s pressure, temperature, or silence.
  • Our goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and at ease.

Confidentiality and Conversation:

  • The discussion between the Massage Therapist and client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the massage.
  • We are happy to listen to your conversation and share our professional expertise. We prefer to not discuss topics of a political, private or sexual nature.
  • All emailed correspondence regarding the health and medical care / treatments being utilized by the client is kept confidential.

Existing or NEW Medical Conditions

  • The client is responsible to keep the Massage Therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being utilized, and to provide written permission from the providing physician, chiropractor, physical therapist etc., that the massage therapy treatments may continue. This written permission from provider must be emailed to contact@tranquilmomentsmassagetherapy.com one day prior to your scheduled appointment.
  • The client must also keep the Massage Therapist informed of any changes in their health conditions, via email contact@tranquilmomentsmassagetherapy.com
